Art Show in the Garden– Die Jim Crow

The garden will be the venue this weekend for an art show/benefit for a concept album to be produced by Fury Young, LES native and son of gardener, Lee Brozgol. Here’s a statement from his website.

“My name is Fury Young. I am producing an album called Die Jim Crow Responding to Michelle Alexander’s book The New Jim Crow, Die Jim Crow is written and performed by formerly and currently incarcerated African American men and women from across the country. These artists will use song to explore their experiences with the modern day racial caste system of American mass incarceration.”
