The weather was perfect for this year’s spring garden spruce-up and our turtles’ return to their outdoor home.

It’s My Park Day:

Jim C worked hard to get the garden’s hose system in tip-top summer shape; Penny created shear magic pruning in Bob’s plot by the gate. Irit and Reiner did an amazing job clearing and cleaning the patio and working on the compost, while Erika worked in multiple areas throughout the garden. Irasema and Eddie continued their work tidying up the children’s area. Folks planted, swept, picked up, pruned, and sneezed their way through It’s My Park Day.

The Turtles Are Back!

Jenifer, Jennifer, and Alisane worked their magic with our youngest visitors, while Richard and Ted shared their turtle know-how with everyone who wanted to know about the critters.  The turtle transit crew (Ted, Jim C, Juliana, Adam, Peter, Irasema and Eddie) safely transported the 14 turtles the long 2 block journey from their winter subterranean (basement) dwellings to their spring, summer, and fall home in the garden’s pond.
